Budapest Budapest we love you

Well we arrived and checked into our wonderful apartment, between the jetlag and champaign on the flight we had only enough energy to head out for dinner. What bother could we possibly get into well beany is with us so we will start with her! We took our eyes off her for one minute and she’s gone, so we call out for her only to find her in a locked building! How did she get in well a nice man with keys let her in, but locked the door behind her – yep locked in an arcade that’s where she was! After a few moments of panic she did manage to find that nice man again who let her out. Then we turn around and Alan has gone – his new past time it seems is to slope off and hide in doorways without telling anyone. Other than that it was time for bed (Alan and Janet only finding the room after asking at reception “what room and floor are we on?”) oh and just to let people know the mankini’s have been aired here live in Budapest but there is no photographic evidence and little room for error!

Today is our first full day and after breakfast and coffee it was off to the thermal baths. Truly wonderful and invigorating, although the plunge pool was a bit of a shock to the system. It also provides the opportunity to say wow didn’t recognize them with their clothes on!

There is a little church just across the road and up the hill. It’s in caves, really pretty and I reckon it would be a great place to have a service, but alas yes it is true a church that you cannot go to if you are a tourist!

Lots of photo opportunities and I know that planking is so 2011 but I couldn’t resist I planked on the wall at the church with Andy and then planked on Liberty Bridge (thank you Andy for lifting me up it was a little too high!) so now it’s time for a spot of lunch before we carry on with our adventures!

About revthreads

I originally decided to get a blog because I think any adventure, travel experience should be journaled and then thought it's good to share. Some things may be interesting to others and other things not so much but sharing is good! I love to travel, I don't get to do as much as I would like, ultimately it would be my dream to just pack up, head off and keep going for as long as possible seeing and experiencing new things, meeting new and interesting people. Like a lot of people I have family and work commitments that keep me grounded, but I am fortunate enough to have a fair few opportunities to head out and live life to the full.
