Well the day has almost arrived! The group now numbers 13 and I am sure this is going to be a great experience as we share the sights and smells of India. The itinerary is set, but the program in Chennai is not as yet – we spend the first 2 weeks with the Church of South India in Chennai, heading out and about to visit their ministries. The one thing that is certain is that we will get to meet a whole heap of new people including the children which is always an amazing experience. We will arrive in Chennai late Saturday for an early morning start at church on Sunday – hit the road running so to speak. Our next stop after Chennai is Varanasi, the holy city and home to the Ganga River, this will be yet another completely different experience as we encounter the whole spectrum of life along the holy river. Next stop, Delhi and a jolly little train journey to Agra, home of the Taj Mahal!
Over the next 3 weeks I will be blogging at every Internet opportunity, which may be very sporadically, but keep watching the space, you just never know when a new blog will emerge. But for now as I make some attempt to pack my backpack I say to you, namaste!
