Varanasi day 3 and 4 ready for Delhi

Today for me and a few others was a relaxing day, hanging around and chatting before having a last wander around the galis. For others is was a day for the city tour and temple visits. I can’t comment on the city tour other than people came back with new information, most people enjoying the hectic schedule of the tour.

The highlight for me and Mollie was practicing yoga as we looked over the Ganges, it was so relaxing and felt so amazing. When we had finished I sat with my feet in the Ganges and a young girl came to sell me a candle and flowers to place in the Ganges and after some hard bargaining she began mimicking our yoga poses and asked we do for her, just one time only. So the deal was we would if she joined in and she agreed so at the river we began. She copied what we did and her friends chuckled, people gathered around, it was so much fun and she laughed so hard as she toppled over – this has possibly been the most amazing yoga experience.

Today we are packed and preparing for the last leg in India, we fly to Delhi and tomorrow we catch the train to Agra. Hopefully we will have some Internet connection and the excitement will be shared!

About revthreads

I originally decided to get a blog because I think any adventure, travel experience should be journaled and then thought it's good to share. Some things may be interesting to others and other things not so much but sharing is good! I love to travel, I don't get to do as much as I would like, ultimately it would be my dream to just pack up, head off and keep going for as long as possible seeing and experiencing new things, meeting new and interesting people. Like a lot of people I have family and work commitments that keep me grounded, but I am fortunate enough to have a fair few opportunities to head out and live life to the full.
