The Quest Was On

So you walk to the end of the earth, you ponder on life, it’s meaning and purpose. You wander tracks and lanes with your life on you back. You arrive back in Santiago for your final night before saying “adios El Camino, Santiago, Finisterre, mucho gracias!” What can the next quest possibly be?

We searched high, we searched low, we journeyed through the cathedral square, what on earth could possibly be so important a venture for the men traveling with us? Are you intrigued yet? There was much anticipation, anguish, would it be possible, would we be too late?

The quest, the one thing we could not leave Santiago without? Their certificates perhaps? Their shells? What was driving the senor’s to despair? Would they ever feel complete if the quest was left incomplete? Possibly not, but fortunately for them they found the local kebab shop! Yes kebab, this drama so needed to be documented for eternal existence in cyber space.

About revthreads

I originally decided to get a blog because I think any adventure, travel experience should be journaled and then thought it's good to share. Some things may be interesting to others and other things not so much but sharing is good! I love to travel, I don't get to do as much as I would like, ultimately it would be my dream to just pack up, head off and keep going for as long as possible seeing and experiencing new things, meeting new and interesting people. Like a lot of people I have family and work commitments that keep me grounded, but I am fortunate enough to have a fair few opportunities to head out and live life to the full.

Ahh the Quest! It stops when we stop…when life ends and desires die. I don’t really know about it but there is something we all are searching for. We find peace and then we long for more peace, more love, more happiness and strive to negate things with lesser significance. I think this is the way it goes with life… the quest is a never ending journey of endless desire 🙂
